Here we have an original, 1970’s era CHAMPION SPARK PLUG PERPETUAL CALENDAR 3D ADVERTISING SIGN that was recently acquired out of a Toledo, Ohio area estate. Made by MIRRO-PRODUCTS HIGH POINT NORTH CAROLINA , as it is embossed on the back. It is a nice size Champion Spark Plug advertising piece measuring approximately 20 1/4 inches tall by about 10 1/2 inches wide. It is made out of a celluloid plastic type material. The colors are very vivid and bright. The spark plug is 3 dimensional which gives it a great look! The over all condition is actually very nice considering its age. There is a little bit of very back, side lip only damage, but really minor and not all that noticeable. The entire front and sides are in really nice, well preserved over all condition. The sign is a perpetual calendar so you can change the month and day. Over all a very nice old Champion Spark plug advertising piece that I would imagine would not be all that easy to find one much nicer than this one here. The new owner is to pay 18. I will package this item with GREAT CARE! To ensure it arrives at its new home in as seen condition. A delightful and sexy tear-off calendar realized by Cimberle in 1958 for Pennsylvania Motor Oil, in a style reminiscent in a way of Alberto Vargas. The Pennsylvanian oil rush was a “boom” in petroleum production which occurred in northwestern Pennsylvania from 1859 to about 1870. It was the first oil boom in the United States. The oil rush began in Titusville, Pennsylvania, when Colonel Edwin L. Drake struck “rock oil” there. (A-) Fold and a small tear in the border Markings: Signed in the plate SKU: 351775.
